Tai Chi - Parade Preparation

Many first graders are studying the Chinese New Year during Bobcat Time.  We learned about the ancient Chinese custom of doing Tai Chi during our research.  Mrs. Andresen knew a Tai Chi expert, Gerry, and he shared his talent with us today.  He talked about how the Chinese use symbols where we use the alphabet and taught us some other interesting facts about the culture.

Tomorrow, one Bobcat Time group will be putting on a Chinese New Year parade for the rest of Keystone Elementary.  We worked on the dragon's head and body today.  Check back tomorrow for pictures from the parade!
