"I can..." Statements - NO GREEN TOMORROW - Reminders

I hope this finds you well on this sticky, summer-like day.  Below are a few reminders and our "I can..." statements for this week.

Reminders:

NO GREEN TOMORROW - Students are going to be creating a video production using green screen technology tomorrow.  (Like the weather man!)  They are super excited for this.  Green clothing will distort the video and interrupt the message they are trying to share about weather.  Please be sure your child doesn't wear green tomorrow.

Wednesday, April 20th - 1:00 Dismiss for PK-12 PD

Hygiene - The weather has done a total change (for the good) on us!  This type of weather means your child is probably playing outside after school.  During recess, they're getting a lot of physical activity and with that comes sweat.  Please be sure your child is getting a bath or shower nightly.

Gym Shoes - It's sandal season again!  Please be sure your child wears or brings gym shoes on days 1 and 3.  Tomorrow is a day 1 and we work through a 6 day cycle.

Spring Pictures- If you aren't planning on purchasing your child's spring pictures, please send back to school ASAP.  If you are purchasing, please send payment ASAP.

Field Trip - Please send your child's field trip permission form back to school ASAP.  They will NOT be allowed to participate in our trip without the Twisters waiver.  Let me know if you need me to send another copy.  Our trip is Friday, May 6th.

Kernels - Return the BLUE Kernels sheet to school if your family is planning on attending the Night at the Ballpark on Friday, May 20th.  I took Carson yesterday and it was so much fun!  I hope to see you there!

BCPTO Party in the Park - The BCPTO is hosting a Party in the Park on Friday, May 13th from 5:30-7:30pm.  The event is free to all Benton elementary students and their families.  The BCPTO is encouraging students to bring an item to be sent to the local food pantries.  If you are able to help, we would appreciate it!  Sign up by clicking HERE.
