It was a busy day in first grade! We started our day off with a bus safety chat and then went through the bus evacuation process. We will reference the PBIS bus video throughout the year.
We also go to check out a fire truck and look at all of the gear firefighters wear and use. Thank you to Patrick Rhodes for providing students with this experience! We'll continue to practice phone numbers and addresses.
It was either raining or wet during recess so we got to spend the day inside. Mr. Junge and Mr. Platt even got into a little basketball game with students. The gym was a busy place!
We learned more about different types of balls and their features today. Students wrote many different observations in their science journals. Please be sure to ask about some of the types of balls they experimented with and their observations.
