Recess Gear

This beautiful weather we've been having has been fabulous!  However, it has caused a wet, muddy mess on our playground.  Students still need to bring snowpants and boots to school.  I would encourage you to send a sweatshirt or light jacket with your child to wear with the snowpants.  They get too warm in their winter coats by the time afternoon recess hits.  Hats and gloves are also nice to have for morning recess, but they're not necessary for our other recesses.   The other day, I saw a student put snowpants on over shorts.  Only in Iowa...!
