In Case You Missed It - Dr. Seuss Projects

We've talked a lot about Dr. Seuss's influence on young readers for nearly eight decades.  We've discussed lessons from different books are were able to squeeze in a few projects around the theme of a book.  They're proudly displayed in the hallway at VHE.

Oh, the Places You'll Go!   - "You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself any direction you choose."

The Lorax  -  "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

Horton Hears a Who!  -  "A person's a person, no matter how small."
This was a writing activity we completed and sent home.  Hopefully you enjoyed what your first grader said about the value of life.  I sure did!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish  -  We've been studying math families so we were able to take the idea from our math lesson and put it into this book!
