Read to Self and Read to Someone

We use all sorts of techniques to encourage reading throughout the day.  Below are a few pictures of students reading to themselves with whisper phones.  This helps students hear their own voice as they read and encourages self-monitoring while reading.  Reading with a peer is another strategy we try to do as much as possible.
