Fire Safety

We were able to have members of the Van Horne Fire Department come to school and present topics related to fire safety.  Then, we got to go on a fire truck ride.  I don't know what the kids love more, the ride itself or the hats they always get to take home.  My favorite part was when the kids started singing the Benton Fight Song as we were strolling around town.   We also practiced our address and phone number.  Starr helped write out student's information so everyone had something to copy.  We will continue to work on memorizing our address and phone number throughout first grade.
