Today, I gave the students an opportunity to vote on the read aloud. They voted for the book Come Back, Amelia Bedelia! We learned about our reader's response journals and the type of work we'll complete in this notebook. This is where we'll write about books and do some word/phonics work. Students were directed to draw about their favorite part of the book. Suddenly, I had many students lined up to show and tell me what their favorite part of the story was with big, proud smiles. I happen to have an iPad nearby and caught some on video for you. Enjoy! (Amelia Bedelia isn't the easiest name to say... :) )
