Butterflies/Plants

We've been learning about butterflies and plants in 1U.  They are great topics to learn about together.  Students have been observing caterpillars change and grow and have been recording their observations in a journal.  We have a different classroom photographer each day charged with documenting the changes by taking a photo.  Everyone was super surprised and excited about the changes that occurred over the weekend!  We also have a caterpillar reader.  Garrett thought the caterpillars might grow faster if we read to them.  We'll try anything to see them grow!  :)  (And get kids motivated to read!)  

P.S.  We are photographers in training... We've switched to using Ms. Upah's phone to take pictures.  This fits in the little hands better.  (And who doesn't love getting to use their teacher's phone.)  :)
